Caring for Your Pieces ✨

Each Eliza Rue Co. piece is crafted with intention and deserves a little extra love. Follow these simple care tips to keep your glassware and gifts looking beautiful for years to come.

Care Instructions

Washing

Hand-wash recommended. Gently wash your glassware with warm water and a mild dish soap. Use a soft cloth or sponge — avoid abrasive scrubbers that can scratch the surface or affect the finish.

Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue, which can dull the clarity of the glass over time.

Dishwasher use: While some pieces may tolerate occasional dishwasher cycles, we strongly recommend hand-washing to preserve the finish, color, and longevity of your glassware. Repeated dishwasher use may cause fading or cloudiness.

Drying

Dry immediately after washing with a soft, lint-free cloth to prevent water spots and maintain the glass's natural brilliance. Avoid air-drying, which can leave mineral deposits from tap water.

Storage

Store glasses upright in a clean, dry cabinet away from direct sunlight, which can affect delicate finishes over time. Avoid stacking glasses directly on top of one another — if stacking is necessary, place a soft cloth or felt pad between each piece to prevent scratching.

Handling

Hold stemware by the bowl rather than the stem when washing to reduce stress on the glass. Handle with care on hard surfaces — a soft bar mat or cloth on your countertop can help prevent chips and cracks.

Temperature

Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as pouring hot liquid into a cold glass or placing glassware directly from the refrigerator into warm water. Gradual temperature changes help prevent cracking.

A Note on Our Finishes

Our blush and gold-accented pieces are finished with care. To keep these details vibrant, always hand-wash and avoid soaking for extended periods.
